Stress
Stress. It's everywhere these days, at work with looming deadlines and heavy workloads, and at home juggling responsibilities. Research shows a significant increase in stress levels over the past five years, impacting our overall well-being.
As an integrative counselor, I understand the toll stress can take. It can manifest as headaches, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating, affecting our relationships, intimacy, and work performance.
That's where I can help. Integrative counseling combines different therapeutic approaches, like mindfulness, to create a personalized plan for managing stress. With mindfulness techniques, you'll cultivate greater self-awareness and develop coping mechanisms to navigate stressful situations. I offer a safe, empathic space to explore your challenges and build resilience.
Don't let stress control your life. Take charge of your well-being. Let's work together to find calm amidst the chaos.
Anxiety
Feeling anxious, inadequate, or like you're not enough? These common struggles can stem from low self-esteem, often rooted in childhood experiences. Research suggests societal pressures, like class structures, can also play a role.
Integrative counseling offers a comprehensive approach to help you build lasting confidence. CBT empowers you to challenge negative thoughts and develop coping mechanisms for anxiety. Psychodynamic therapy, using inner child work, explores past experiences to understand and heal from childhood trauma. Mindfulness cultivates self-awareness and emotional regulation.
Whether you've faced a recent loss or a lifetime of self-doubt, counseling can help you reclaim your confidence and move forward. Let's work together to break free from limiting patterns and unlock your full potential

Healing a Broken Heart: How Integrative Counseling Can Help You Move On
A broken heart can feel like the world is crumbling around you. Integrative counseling offers a compassionate and effective way to navigate the pain of a broken relationship.
Understanding and Processing Your Emotions: Through a combination of approaches, like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and mindfulness, we can explore the emotional rollercoaster and identify unhelpful thought patterns that might be holding you back. CBT helps you challenge negative self-talk, while mindfulness cultivates a sense of calm and acceptance.
Breaking Free from Cycles: Research suggests that people often repeat unhealthy relationship patterns. Integrative counseling, including techniques drawn from psychodynamic therapy, can help you understand these patterns and develop healthier ones. Talking to a therapist provides a safe space to explore your past experiences and uncover unconscious beliefs that might be influencing your present.
Healing and Moving Forward: Integrative counseling isn't just about feeling better; it's about empowering you to build stronger, healthier relationships in the future. With the support of therapy, you can learn effective communication skills, set boundaries, and rediscover your own sense of self-worth. You'll emerge from this experience feeling more confident, resilient, and ready for love that truly fulfills you.

Mindfulness: A Reset Button for the Busy Mind
Mindfulness can be a powerful tool in the counselling session. It fosters a sense of present-moment awareness, allowing clients to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment. This creates a safe space for exploration, promoting deeper self-understanding and emotional regulation.
For a quick reset, consider a 10-minute guided meditation. Find a quiet place, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. Feel your chest rise and fall with each inhale and exhale. If your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to your breath. This simple practice can be incredibly effective in clearing the mental clutter and creating space for clear thinking.
The benefits of meditation extend far beyond a momentary pause. Regular practice cultivates a sense of peace, tranquility, and clarity. It allows us to step back from the constant barrage of thoughts and emotions, fostering a sense of calm amidst the chaos.
In today's fast-paced world, we're often on autopilot, rushing from one task to another. Mindfulness helps us ground ourselves in the present moment. It teaches us to appreciate the simple things and savour the here and now, something that can be especially helpful for clients struggling with anxiety or rumination.
Zoom online counselling .
You can now have counselling in the comfort of your home or where ever you are.

I am now offering online counselling as well. This can be really helpful for busy people who don't have time to travel to counselling if they are away and need to talk to someone. It is important to find a comfortable space, where you feel able to express yourself freely without being interrupted or overheard. Many of my Clients work remotely and can't always travel yet need to offload and confide in someone.
